INOFAS: Web site
Business need
INOFAS provides information capture and conversion services. They have several distinct areas of service, but this was not clearly communicated in previous materials.
Clients were overwhelmed by so much information, and unable to easily determine which services they required. INOFAS wanted a simple but effective web site.
Alantext solution
I identified five key business areas, and grouped related services under each of those areas. I rewrote materials provided by the client, and wrote much new content.
I designed a new web site with a simple but effective home page enabling INOFAS customers to jump to the page that applies to their needs.
Each key business area is represented by a graphic. Mouse rollover pops up a colour-keyed box containing a quick summary of each business area. That colour-keying is carried over to the title of each content page.
Navigation is provided at top and bottom of each content page. Each page can be reached with one click from any other page. Meta tags with descriptive keywords were created to facilitate potential customers locating INOFAS through search engines.
Formatting is achieved via Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), a more efficient way of setting font, colour, layout, etc. CSS enables quicker and easier updates, additions and design changes, thus saving the client money. Sites using CSS also load more quickly.
